Something about this art of Link struck me with the familiar feeling of seeing a brother who hasn't been home in a long time... It's nostalgic in a way!

I really appreciate hearing that. If my work ever makes people feel this way then it means I'm doing something right with my art.
I try to incorporate every vintage style technique I can think of, and often use colors from old anime cels in my stuff too, so maybe something about that is what you picked up on.

I feel this on a spiritual level. I still gas up Glover like it's a hidden gem with the likes of Mystical Ninja Goemon- but really I just value it's soundtrack because I listened to it alot when I first started smoking pot 😭
